Is my money safe?
Yes. Payments run through Stripe, the same processor used by Shopify, Lyft, and DoorDash. Your money is held by PartsMeet at checkout and not released to the seller until you confirm the part matches.
What happens if the part doesn't match?
You have 48 hours from delivery to inspect. If it's the wrong part, broken, or misrepresented, open a dispute. A real person reviews and decides within 5 business days. Verified disputes get a full refund and the seller covers return shipping.
How is shipping handled?
Sellers buy a pre-paid domestic label through our carrier integration after the buyer pays. Tracking syncs to your dashboard from pickup to your door. Carriers include FedEx, UPS, and USPS depending on the seller's location and the part's size.
What does PartsMeet charge?
Nothing. PartsMeet does not charge a platform fee, listing fee, or monthly subscription. Standard payment processing fees are passed through to the buyer at checkout.
When do you launch?
PartsMeet launches in 2026. The waitlist gets first access. Sellers join early to set up listings before the platform opens to buyers.
Where does PartsMeet ship at launch?
PartsMeet launches US-only. Sellers and buyers must be in the US, all 50 states. Direct corridors from Japan, the UK, and continental Europe roll out later in 2026 once we have US dispute volume to learn from. Waitlist members in those countries are first in line when their corridor opens.
Who handles payments and business compliance?
PartsMeet operates as an automotive aftermarket marketplace (merchant category 5533). Payments process through Stripe Connect, and seller identity is verified through Stripe Identity. Full business details, fee breakdown, prohibited items, and dispute policy are on the About page.
Why we built it

The parts you want already exist.

Every US enthusiast knows the feeling. The exact part you need is sitting in a Facebook group in Phoenix, a Craigslist post in Atlanta, or a forum thread in Detroit. You DM the seller, they want Venmo only, the shipping math is hand-wavy, the part shows up bent or never shows up at all.

PartsMeet starts US-only because that's where the volume is and where we can learn fastest. JDM, Euro, USDM, all 50 states. We built the payment hold and the buyer protection so strangers in different states can trade $2,000 turbos without trusting each other on faith.

Once US is humming, we open the Japan and Europe corridors. JDM and Euro waitlist members go first when their corridor lights up.
